A Formative Process…

Early in her career, she began working with a long-time leader of an organization who was struggling to get out of his/her own way. It was taking a toll on the individual’s health and home life, as well as the effectiveness of the individual’s team. The individual’s professional brand was so negative, the company was prepared to part ways. Coaching this individual was considered a last-ditch-effort before their employment would be terminated. Over the first 3 months, Stephanie and this individual quickly identified immediate gaps, built plans to address them, and began executing the plan. By the 6 month mark, the leader was ready to look ahead to the type of leader they wanted to be. Stephanie’s coaching combined with the individual’s willingness to go back to basics and rebuild, the leader’s turnaround was evident throughout the organization. By the end of 1 year, their team’s engagement scores rose impressively and their business results reflected this improvement. Most notably, the individual was now being tracked as a high-potential leader within the organization.

Stephanie’s Approach

Over nearly 30 years of leadership in corporate America has shown Stephanie that there will never be a one-size-fits-all approach for helping executives and teams be their best. We all have a starting point that is unique to our experiences, style, and inherent personalities.

Oftentimes leaders don’t know where to begin. They know what they have and they know what they want, but the path to get there is not always clear. This is why Stephanie’s approach to help clients is customized to ensure they get the most out of the time they invest in coaching.

  • We start by fully understanding the client’s or team’s current situation. This includes strengths, successes, opportunities and how they are experienced by others.

  • We then clarify their goals, some of which are known in advance, and some are uncovered based on an assessment of their current situation.

  • We develop a plan which keeps goals at the forefront, and allows for measures of progress.

  • We support our clients in taking action throughout the coaching process.

  • We measure progress and develop a plan for sustainment.
